I grew up in Switzerland in a social and educational system
vastly different than that in México City. After completing
3 years apprenticeship in a Swiss bank, I worked for a
couple a years in the office world. It was always a dream for
me to travel and as soon as this opportunity entered in my live
I decided to seize that opportunity.
It became actually 9 years I did travel around in Asia, Central
- and Southamerica. On my traveling I had the opportunity to
get in contact with many different spiritual practices. I lived for
a while in a Buddhist monastery in Nepal where I connected
deeply with the aspects of meditation.
Returning to Europe after all those years I completed in 2004
the Sivananda Yoga training in Austria and from 2005-2007
I was educated in the Vini-Yoga tradition by T.K.V.
Desikachar in Switzerland. In 2008 a friend
introduced me to the Bikram Yoga and I was
very fascinated by the fact to do the Yoga in
a heated room. I was moved by the
sequences of the 26 postures and their
tremendous effects on the body and mind.
The heat helps us to go beyond our
expectations and reach further.
I completed the Bikram teacher training in fall
2008 in Acapulco, México. The training itself was a
very intense school for me because Bikram holds
the mirror to your inner truths without any excuses.
It did open my eyes and I learned to accept all
aspects of myself. Bikram Yoga makes me feel
that I really can connect with my inner deeper
self because Bikram uses the physical body as
a medium for meditation.
Yoga is the ability to direct the mind exclusively
toward an object and sustain that direction
without any distractions.
